Newcastle Wind Orchestra presents three School Prom Concerts in the Newcastle Music Festival. Aimed particularly at children, these concerts are sure to delight. Concert duration is one hour with three start times. The concert is repeated at Singleton Sacred Spaces. The Animal Tales Prom concert is an excellent opportunity for school students to go on an exciting and amazing adventure through some much loved classical music masterpieces as well as some well-known favourites. The Animal Tales program includes two children’s stories - The Pied Piper of Hamelin by Robert Browning and Henry Lawson’s classic Australian short story- The Loaded Dog. These stories will be narrated by Ghillian Sullivan and Carl Caulfield and further enhanced by colourful orchestral scores bringing together a unique collaboration of music and words. The program will also include music from popular children’s movies – Frozen and How to Train Your Dragon. Entry Cost All tickets $8 - All tickets AUD8
